Going the Extra Mile: The Hair Elastic Band Request

Yet another impressive example from Rayavadee, Krabi.

Right before heading out for dinner, I had called Operator to request for a simple elastic band to tie up my hair as I was planning to go swimming in the morning, as well as a nail clipper. I asked for Housekeeping to place the items in my room during turndown service.

Thinking question: what else would/could you provide to go the extra mile?

Well, in my case, this is what I received:

The gesture made me feel superbly special, incredibly indulged and positively pampered! Thank you to Khun Ray and the wonderful team.

Service Bank: Minimum of 10 x 💖!

Reflective thoughts: The handwritten card consists of several signatures from the team. What does this tell you about the people working there? As the guest, what does it convey when you receive a standard printed notice versus a handwritten note? A message with one signature versus several from team members (and across different departments)?
